Desi Boyz (Hindi: देसी बोयज़; English: Indian boys) is a 2011 Hindi comedy drama film directed by debutant Rohit Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan. The film stars John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh in lead roles whilst Sanjay Dutt features in a cameo. Desi Boyz is adopted from a true story of an Indian student Nick's lawsuit against Spain's University of Navarra. The film released on 25 November 2011. Upon release critically it received positive to mixed reports, but commercially it did not live up to its expectation and was declared a below average grosser.
